I am learning how to speak Japanese but the going is slow because nowhere around here offers classes. Pretty much I just buy every book on learning the language I can and attempt to fit it in my head. My obsession with Japan began in 5th grade with anime like SailorMoon and DragonBallZ, and in about 7th grade I began listening to Jrock. My favorite band is Diru, closely followed by Miyavi, Gackt, X/X-Japan and hide. My interest now stretches byond the music and animation into the culture and history of Japan. I am trying to save enough money to get to Japan sometime in September, but I'm not sure I'll make it because 1.) I have no where to stay and that's going to be spendy and 2.) I want to get a hand-held translator before I go so that I'm not totally helpless once I get there.
