I am a fairly independent petite (not blessed with long legs, but all in proportion) blonde British girl, who has so far done degree in medical biochemistry in hope of becoming a forensic scientist, then demonstrated cigarette making machines all around the UK for year or so, did law degree and practised in high street firm in North West England for couple of years before getting bored of desk job and 9 'til 5 life, lived on farm for over third my life and love the countryside, animals, idea of self sufficency (to some degree - like to have large supermarket within driving distance). Left UK in 2006 for Bulgaria and over saw having new house built there and several other renovation jobs. Got into gardening, repairing mud brick walls and cementing! But after 3 years of hard work and stress of building and project managing, now ready for some fun and to meet new people.
Spent winter of 2009 in the French Alps, skiing and snowboarding and having some 'time out'. Loved living in France but returned to Bulgaria summer 2009 to finish off projects and spend time seeing friends there. Now back in France for the winter. This time the south though. So would be great to meet up with anyone in South France. Especially if you enjoy driving around, exploring villages, new restaurants, taking dogs for a walk.....
I enjoy travelling, sight seeing, experiencing new places and new cultures. Would love to see pyramids and tombs in Egypt, ice and snow and wilderness of Alaska, explore the Canadian Rockies...I am an avid skier and snowboarder and ideally would love to spend winters in the snow and summers in the sun with pool or sea close by.
I am an animal lover and can't pass an animal in distress so have collected a few waifs and strays over time. But now got it down to 3 dogs, having found good homes for several others.
I am not really one for clubbing although enjoy nights out to a cosy bar or a good restaurant, popping in for couple of pints after a walk, socialising with friends around the BBQ, going to cinema, spontaneous weekends away, just jumping in car and going exploring, packing a pic nic and finding nice spot by river. Love winter evenings curled up on the sofa in front of log fire watching a good film with a bottle of wine. Oh and don't forget the pop corn - salted not sugar.
Don't think you can beat a good book - P J Tracey, Kathy Reichs but also like historical fiction. Like music but have no real favourites - can pretty much listen to anything from Tina Turner to Amy Whitehouse to Jay Z to Duffy but cannot stand dance and Techno or heavy Drum and Base.
While like most girls. I enjoy getting dressed up from time to time and like to make an effort to look nice, I am not someone who often wears much make up and do not have perfectly manicured finger nails. Takes me 5 minutes to get ready, not 2 hours.
Would be great to meet others in the area to socialise with, explore (currently possible house hunting -always more fun with someone else), go skiing with...
