I'm an intelligent, sociable, fairly attractive guy, professionally employed and fortunate enough to have a comfortable (though not superwealthy) lifestyle.
I've been divorced eleven years and I've had long-term partners since then but, like Goldilocks, some were too hot or too cold, or too big or too small, or in some way or another not 'just right'.
I live in the countryside, in a beautiful house on the edge of a small Derbyshire town. The quality of life is great in many ways but there's not much social life or romantic opportunity for an unattached male.
I yearn to share my home, environment and lifestyle with someone who would value them, and enjoy sharing and exploring them.
So, what am I like, then?
Well, I have a dry, Scots 'graveyard' sense of humour... ('Wur a' doomed, Captain Mainwaring!');
I'm houseproud, tidy and clean, but not obsessive about it;
I enjoy cooking, the countryside, hillwalking, books (mainly history and travel), my garden, theatre, and foreign travel;
I like cats for company, but I have none at present;
I have no interest in sport, cars (or sportscars!), gambling or propping up the bar all night, though I do enjoy a pint or three;
I have my views on moral issues and current affairs but I'm not religious or interested in politics;
I'm sensible about money, but never mean or selfish;
I detest violent, aggressive or manipulative people (men AND women) and I naturally deal with issues by co-operation and common sense.
But I have my standards and limits, and I won't be pushed or coerced beyond them.
The physical side of a relationship is important to me. In that respect, I'm energetic, adventurous, imaginative and uninhibited. But I'm also attentive, caring and affectionate. For me, it's about exploring and finding how best to please.
My Ideal Person:
I'm looking for a reasonably attractive, reasonably intelligent woman who seeks a stable, caring relationship but still needs a measure of independence.
It doesn't matter whether you're shy or sociable - I can be either depending on my mood and surroundings.
My Ideal Person:
I like going out on dates, but my real reason for being on the site is to establish a serious long-term relationship, and I'm looking for someone with the same goal.
Sensuality - like touching and candles and massage - I prefer someone who feels the same way.
