Quiet among collections of strangers but I blossom among friends and can be quite outgoing. Playful, creative and spontaneous with an intellectual streak. I enjoy reading just about anything but prefer Russian literature and the classics. I play a board game called "Go" and enjoy tournaments and my Go friends. Not OVERLY sedate given my hobbies, as I will pick up and head off for an adventure at the drop of a hat. While I don't completely believe in psychological classification systems (or any classification systems for that matter) In grad school I was an ENTP and but a more recent Meyer-Briggs evaluation is INFP. Why the shift? Not sure. Maybe it's all BS, but I thought I'd share it. Love children and animals. I was saddened by the fact I am unable to have them (children, that is). I have not been handed everything on a silver platter. I have worked very hard to become what I am and I am proud of what I have made for myself. It is sometimes tough for a woman to initiate contact.
My Ideal Person:
What is my perception of the ideal relationship? Open to new relationships of all sorts. Depends on who people are and where they are in their life. Must haves: trust, consideration, affection, intellectual companionship, a few common interests and some basic, shared values. Pluses: passion, adventure and a shared wonder of the universe.
What have I learned from past relationships? Just be yourself. You are what you are. While people can accommodate one another, people can't and don't make big changes in who they are. I have remained friends with people with whom I have been involved. I think friendship is a key aspect of a quality relationship. I have come to despise labels on relationships as I think it often puts pressure on situations where none need exist.
NOT interested in learning about your latest tattoo, or feeling the need to inquire about the when you last showered. ; )
My perfect first date: Low key, nice bottle of wine with a casual dinner. Wander about afterward, chatting, For the most part, it is the person, not the environment. With the right person, sitting at a bus stop chatting could be an utter delight.
