Well I know what I'm missing.....I have been in TX for a year now and have established a good life here. My work life is great and professionally I couldn't be doing any better. I really love to listen to music, get in the pool, go shoot pool, get away on my days off or go to the beach. I read a book now and then and stay on the computer way too much. The TV is almost always on, although I rarely actually watch it. I download alot of music, but it's usually rock. No, not classic rock. I do like country, jazz and classical. What I'm missing is an active personal life.
My hair is short and I wear very little make up. Hair color is a wonderful thing and you are not likely to ever see how gray I really am. It's also not likely I'll ever see how gray I really am. The highlights are the only thing that will tell us since I don't highlight my hair. I am not overweight, I am just 52 and try to eat healthy. My career keeps me very active since I am on my feet over 10 hours a day. Most people who meet me say I look younger than I am and I do not consider myself very photogenic. Perhaps it's the lack of make up. I dunno. I just never cared for it much. All photos are definitely accurately dated, promise.
I love to cook and have a small herb and tomato garden. Going out to dinner is always fun and red wine is fabulous. I have a special place in my heart for pets, especially dogs and birds and my golden retriever is the best of the best. I shaved him recently and he looks kind of silly but he's happy. Happy is more important.
PS -- I am a Duke Basketball fan because I came from the land of ACC Basketball and Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill. So I apologize to all of my fellow Texans, that won't change.
I am looking for someone who has similar interests or who wants to introduce me to new interests. I am a strong believer in learning something new everyday and exploring new ideas as a way of life. I do not want to live in the same old same old, so experiencing new things and learning about new places is exciting to me. I have traveled to Greece, Spain, Turkey and the Caribbean on several occasions. I enjoyed every minute of it.
I came to Texas as kind of a fresh start. I had been in NC for many years and my children were grown. There was no real reason for me to stay and I just felt it was time for a change. So yes, I can make gutsy decisions when necessary. Life is short and I believe in seeking out happiness and living life to the best of my ability. This change in my life has renewed my spirit and now all I need is someone to share some or more of my free time.
My convictions lie in honesty, the pursuit of happiness and taking care of others. I believe strongly in doing the right things everyday and treating others the way I wish to be treated. I CAN take up for myself when the situation arises, so I am no push over either. Reach out to me if you are missing a romantic, fun, smart, easy going, free spirited woman.
