I am originally from India and currently living in Columbia, SC. I am a graduate student, and while for many people it's not the real world...for me it is very real and very challenging. I am currently working on getting my doctorate degree in Political Science. I am not much for the bar scenes, nor is it easy to meet interesting yet nice men in Columbia, SC who will not be hesitant to ask out an exotic, fun-loving, East-Indian woman. I am enjoying graduate school, I really enjoy research and teaching and all the fun outside the box things academics do. I am your usual left of the center person, pro-choice, pro-equal rights for everybody, socialized healthcare. Although I still do see some good in state's rights, and first feeding the homeless orphans in America before the hippie liberals sing songs for Africa. I am a Mac lover, introverted and extroverted, very intense, love reading, can't sketch but love doodling, enjoy learning about computers, cars, and other cool gadgets. I love comic books and the occassional sappy hollywood fantasies. Love music, from Prince to Scooter to Sade to Tricky and Blur and some more.I enjoy cooking for other people, although my food can be a little spicy at times. I believe myself to be incredibly loyal, and compassionate person. I am a liberal who listens to NPR and reads BBC news. I am allergic to the incredibly religious. I enjoy being around people and debating passionately about the things wrong with the world. I love holding hands, kissing, walking barefoot in the park. I like optimism, ambition, sensitivity, slightly geeky, faithful and laughter. I do believe everything good begins with honesty and good friendship. So if you would like to talk to somebody about anything under the sun, while sitting in a Thai restaurant, holding hands underneath the table, giggling and living the moment...
