Yes, Sunday Day light Savings time starts. It will be dark again until 7 am. I need it light early so I can go out looking for cans before people get on the roads.

Some men treat their cars like they are their babies. Here there is a homeless man who treats his bicycle as it was his baby. It is a more expensive bike than most of us own. When ever it gets a nick on it, be blames the other homeless people for doing it because they are jealous of him. Then he paints the bike so the nicks disappear. My bike is my work horse. It is a cheap bike with nicks on it. I also do not blame people for those nicks. To me it gives my bike character.

Februrary went out on a sour note. I had to buy a new watch. Lucky for me I got a cheap one at the Dollar Store. I had to replace a tube on my bicycle tire. I always carry a spare one so I do not have to walk to a store to get it done. While I was in the store I had my bike chained up at the bike rack. Someone place their bike next to mine. The wind blew the other persons bike on to mine which knocked mine over. In the process it bent the front rim of my bike tire. This made it wobble badly. Luckily for me I had a spare rim at my old camp. I got it and placed it on. A friend is going to fix the other rim today.

For the past several years I have been wearing cheap sneakers to crush cans. They are light weight which makes it easier on my legs. The problem with sneakers is they have a short life span. I am lucky when I get 3 months wear out of them. Sunday I noticed that I needed to replace them again. I was going to buy a new pair Monday but that night I had a dream about wearing hard soul shoes. That was when I remembered I had a pair of work boots I had bought 3 years ago when I was hoping to find work. They are heavier than I am use to wearing but they should last for a while. When summer comes they will be too hot to wear. Then I will buy a new pair of sneakers for the summer months.

Being homeless and having to look for cans to make money has also meant that I have had to swallow my pride. There have been a few times while I was out looking for cans when people have given me money. It has ranged from pocket change to Twenty dollars. I now figure it is better they give it to me than give it to some one who will just go out and buy alcohol or drugs.
