September sun.... Sep 18, 2011 5:35 am
4830 Views

Here by the sea the sun is at its best in September...It isn't scorching, it doesn't burn your skin...Sunbathing in the gentle warmth of September sun is like sitting by a cosy fireplace - your soul, muscles...and brain become soft, soft, soft....Time may stop. But it doesn't

I had enough of heat this summer...From the second half of July till the first half of September we had constant sun and dry weather of about 30*C. But windy. So what I couldn't indulge enough was the sea - I managed to swim in a smooth sea only three times for the whole summer. Some severe force was weltering the sea and it was throwing fierce waves at us...Oh well, we have to appreciate what we have managed to enjoy in life...in order to be happy people

What follows next? Multi-coloured autumn?...And a looong five-month winter after that...Misty, are we two the greatest whiners on the blogs?

What did you enjoy most in your summer, my friends? Reply not mandatory

Hope you are having/have had a relaxing Sunday

Love ya, fellas

At the End of the Season Aug 30, 2011 1:44 pm

Well, my sons are gone again, the sea became stormy and dangerous for swimming...yeah, it's the end of the summer...

And being downspirited as always when summer is over, I was thinking...Time is money, money sucks out our saps...So time is killing us slowly...But lonelines buries us alive

That's why although cares about my mum are occupying most of my time and have even damaged my health, I am glad to tell her "hello" in the morning and when her warm hand cups my cheek, I feel as a child again...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MOM !

Shot on the post taken yesterday...

Enjoy your days, my friends!

Here is how my eldest's three-month puppy softened his heart and made him take her on his vacation to the sea...(See photo on the post...) Ain't dogs clever...

And now I have to persuade my mind that although I'm already 61, I'm not sliding down the hill...

Cheers to those who are already in or close to the golden third age!!!!....We have to support each other, we need it!

Happy week to the rest of my buddies here!

Some Fun? :D Jul 10, 2011 1:50 pm

I got this joke from a friend on my mail and I'm wishing you a fun week with it

Ze French Art Thief...

A thief in Paris planned to steal some paintings from the Louvre Museum.

After careful planning, he got past security, stole the paintings, and made it safely to his van. However, he was captured only two blocks away when his van ran out of gas.

When asked how he could mastermind such a crime and then make such an obvious error, he
replied, "Monsieur, zat is ze reason I stole ze paintings. I had no Monet to buy Degas to make ze Van Gogh."

* See if you have De Gaulle to send zis on to someone else. We sent it to you because we figured, we had nothing Toulouse.

And if you think the landscape on the photo is Greece again, you are wrong...That's a small beach only 20km south of Bourgas..Yeah, it's finally summer here and I'm in a hurry to indulge it as long as it lasts...

Take care, my friends...Hope each of you finds something to enjoy during the week

Photos from My Trip, May 21-24 Jun 10, 2011 12:34 am

Well, I was taken to a trip by my youngest and his girlfriend to Thassos island, Greece, which is south of Bulgaria. And as promised I'm posting for you a few pics from my trip My present profile pic shows me in front of a Greek house...Greek people, similarly to Spanish, like to have flowers planted around.
Thassos island, situated in northern Greece, is called by natives and tourists "the green heart of Greece" because of its luxuriant vegetation. The southern part of Greece is mainly rock due to the high temperatures there. Mind, at the end of May temps in Thassos were already close to 30*C/80+F. The island is a lil piece of paradise, its nature is still unspoiled by people...It is highly idented with numerous picturesque inlets which gives you the chance to find a secluded beach and bask in the sun alone or with somebody special for hours undesturbed by human presence...If you need a quiet holiday, Thassos is the place to go to...

It is already summer here...Sparrows dart in the air with a wild whistle; shadowed with umbrellas street cafes, bars and restaurants are full of people again; the grey colour is gone from the scenery and the sky and the sea are blue...My city is alive again...And my eldest son is coming tomorrow for the weekend to see me and my mum! Yeee, summer brings such a variety of joys!

Happy weekend, my dear friends! Hope you enjoy the pics, I may post some more next week again

I'm sharing with you now a spring photo I took in May at a place south of my city. Missed ya fellas, hope to be able to go round your blogs soon and be part of the blogs life again

....that means that my body goes through such a great hardship that my soul gets detached from it and shrinks so small that I can feel it nowhere. But I haven't forgotten you...At the end of a strenuous day I sit in front of the puter and read your posts but feel too exhausted to comment....So you don't forget me, too I'm here.

Don't know if I wrote this in good English but I don't care. Hope you had a good holiday, my friends. Going to rest now.

Good Things Happen, Too Mar 30, 2011 3:24 pm

A new Culture Centre was opened in my city last weekend...It is accommodated in the five-storey building of one of the oldest city restaurants, which burnt down some years ago.

The fact that a restaurant was turned into a home for enlightenment and not vice versa, as I have watched it often happens in the last years of commercialization in my country, rejoiced my heart. However local and insignificant on a global scale but this event might be, its constructive essence was a balm to my heart in the dismal background picture of destruction and unrest in other parts of the world.

I took for you a photo of the building viewed from the sea bridge, and two photos of Bulgarian folk dancing performed on ceremonial opening of the Culture Centre.

Well, that's the news for today from my Black Sea corner
Wish you a sunny and peaceful rest of the week

Where Did My Profile Photo Go? Mar 22, 2011 9:46 am

I see my profile photo on my blog page but on the main blogs page I see this ghostly grey silhouette next to my handy and blog title instead Do you see my pic on the main blogs page, or you also see this faceless silhouette instead????

I haven't updated my profile nor have I changed my photo...I have been waiting for a second day now for my photo to reappear knowing FF's technical glitches but nope...So if you don't see my photo on the front blogs page, too, then I must write to FF staff?

Or may be this is a kind of warning on the side of FF ? ...

Happy Astronomic Spring everyone!
May your forthcoming months be joyous and healthy!

The blossom you see on the post photo is one of my Chinese pot flower
