seems kind of pointless to keep posting but.... yesterday, i was driving out to a customers, and i saw something on the side of the road.there..layed,wings splayed..feathers strwen about was a dead pigeon.standing right next to it was another pigeon.i know they mate for life,so the thing that got me was the way it stood there...looking around..almost like gaurding the body from crow,hawks,eagles,fox..any other scavenger/preditors. dont know how long it stood there guarding/mourning but i thought.. why the hell cant more people be like that. hell..some "loved ones" bury and abandon us even before we're dead. at least that the veiw from this side of the road. oh..i'm sure there will be clever retorts from offended,no..thats not the word...how bout...end of nose lookers? you know..the ones that look at you down the end of their noses, because they are bett/smarter/more "attuned" to the world and society, and all i can say to them is...shove it. wow!! hows that??!! 1 Sept and already as i lookout across the lake to the mountians and hills to the west,i can see the multi-colored blanket of autumn spreading out.not just one here, one there..i'm talking sections.guess uncle wethbee was right when he said it would come early..leaf change that is..due to the hot dry summer we had.actually..reminds me of this time of year back in the 70s.seemed to me the change comes later these years than it used to. oh...who's uncle wethbee? those from the nyc area "might' remember him. just noticed somethin..ever notice how scars really show up when you tan?my arms are very..and the scars stand out like holding a sign saying...LOOK AT ME" lol. hey..ever notice when you've had a couple drinks and youre sitting there naked how your body....nope..not going there..thats for YOU to finish..hehe a quick question..ok..the first person who ate rhubarb leaves died..they,being poison.thats understandable..who knew, right? but..how stupid was the SECOND person that tried eating the stalks(which would be ok)?i mean..would you have tried it? your friend layin there all stiff and stinky from eating the plant..questions like this are things that keep me up at night while i try to find the answers. turn the page(hey!! obama!! you used my line)

be tween the now ..over abundance of scammers on here..(youd be surprised at how many winks, hot lists and just looking at ..i get from supposedly young women..anywhere from 18-30) like i am really supposed to believe that they all are interested in an old man like me?first off..i dont believe they even are women..i do believe its some type of organized crime trying to scam money off people.i report every time someone who is obvious faking contacts me..still.. and second..if they are women..now you KNOW they are lying if they find me hot!! or desireable!! geez. so..between THAT and this site..every time i go to switch from one screen to the other..particulary the home screen it goes back to the sigh on screen..THEN will go to another sign on screen telling me that i have been idle..the site closed me off and i have to RESTART again.idle for...? what? 5 seconds? really thinking of stopping the money and being a silver.i can get that service by being a standard..oh..and when i complained..was told its on my end..fire wall or software.funny..lots of other sites i am on dont give me that problem.hmmm?? turn the page..(and i wonder why)

ok..2 things before i start.first..you might have noticed..or ..more than likely not, seeing as how this is nothing more than internet talking to myself(and no chief..its not issues) but i have more or less done away with north country tidbits.no snese to have them, when the majority haven't a clue as to what the hell i mean, and an even greater majority could care less...so..again..verbal masterbation.. second..figure i better do this now and not wait as i am more than half way through my first rum and coke(out of beer )and God knows what i'd write if i wait till i have had more. ok..all that b.s. said..here goes. worked this morning doing a cut for a customer trying to work around the going out renter and the coming in renter for the coming week. that done, drove the kids to town and i went to wally world(our only food store..i know it sucks! like fruit flies? well you'll get them if you buy their produce) and got some.."special food " to cook for tomorrow...(spare ribs) i will tell you why..maybe..on monday..or next thursday) after coming home..decided to tackle a job thats been abuggin me.have a little landing off the sliding door from the enclosed porch to the lake that had a broken deck joist,so..ripped up all the decking and fitted a new joist.memories here..Dad and i built the whole thing back in the early '80s..so the treated wood held up good ..'ceptin for the 1 joist....'nother drink time..be right back. ahhhhhhhh..ok..back.(some good too). anyway..went to pressure wash the decking before i replaced it and...guess what? yup..pressure washer wouldnt start.thanks to all the freakin tree huggers for demanding we use ethanol gas..killing all equipment.even my equipment mechanic is saying so.but..hope this new stabil for it works. anyway..replced the decking..as is..but just tacked them down..have to get the pressure washer fixed now..but also am thinking of using the plastic wood decking as replacement.(even thought the color in it fades)figure..either way..i'll be dead before anything has to be done again with it..and as my Father once said to me about his house(when i was taking care of it)..."i'll let the next guy worry about it"..he looked and me and laughed.thanks Dad.lol.(still miss my fishin buddy)oh..the pressure washer....worked fine last year when my sister wanted her deck(which i built for my Mother when she owned the house after Dad died in '93) washed.so i says.."hey..they cost like 70 bucks a day to rent..do it yourself..ohhhh noooo..says she..you have one..cant you come and do mine?so..i travel 240 miles each way,to wash her deck..only to find out later her son-in-law had rented one 2 DAYS BEFORE to do his fence!!!guess i've always been a sucker to help people(chinese zodiac....DOG) but know what? all in all..i came in..jeans dirtier than..... hands cut..ripped..splintered..legs like cement.torso aching..God it feels so good..just like 12..15 years ago..when i would work 16-20 hours a day.(hey!! thats no bullsh-t!!) so..i stripped down..(and i KNOW YOU WERE PEEKIN....and you know who i mean!!!!) and showered up..put the chickie on to par boil, before i grill..and..here i sit..second of...(?) rums and cokes-es gettin near the end of this long thing,but..know what? am that proud of the fact that my bi-ceps still are tight and make the tshirt scream. and last but not least..signs of the season changing..ha!! i know you thought i was gonna say the summer people and touristas leaving? no..though that happens in another week to 2..but.. down near the slip..on the cat tails and the golden rod..in the morning..this morning with the cooler weather(like september) the spider webs were so dramatically defined by the heavy dew on them.God i wished i had a camera.NO artist could paint that beauty.no womans touch could be a delicate as that web..to hold all that mositure..yet so strong. ohhhhh..them rumses and cokeses isa goin down to easy.but..i know when to quit. so..you should come..share..use the tongs to... turn the page

turner classic just got done showing THE QUIET MAN..that movie is probably my all time favorite feel good movie, cause all the countless times i have watched it(have it taped almostr 25 years now),it has never failed to leave me feeling happy and light hearted.and, what is surprising is in all the many times i have watched it,i always seem to notice something i hadnt before,as i did tonight. also..i always laugh at the same lines..the same looks..the same little scenes every time, even though i know they are coming.and, for some strange reason..i always have an urge for a smoke and a beer(why did i quit smoking 2 years ago?damn!!) just a great little movie...a true classic and the recoloring is beautious. now..as always.. turn the page

Somethin's Got Ahold a Me..

yup..theres something inside of me for sure, but i cant tell what its all about. for the last couple days now..and nights.. i ve got the same feeling that Tony in West Side Story had..and i'll quote part of his song, cause its what i'm feeling.... "Could it be? Yes, it could. Something's coming, something good, If I can wait! Something's coming, I don't know what it is, But it is Gonna be great! "
crazy?isnt it? ever feel that way? i feel like theres something,or dare i say it..someone comin'.cant tell if its someone from my past..though i can see no possibility of that happening. so..someone from the present? someone known already..but i'm just to dense..or more senses dulled by age to know it? maybe someone i dont even know exists yet?comin in the future.well..be that the case i would say it better hurry up and happen..tomorrows are starting to run"mighty thin".OR..and this is probably THE real answer..that its all a trick a part of me is playing on all the rest of me.ha! THAT wouldnt be the first time.had this same kind of feeling before.no good ever came of it. ever feel this way? oh hell..maybe i just bring it on myself.maybe the situation dictates it happens. God..i've been taken to task..belittled .. on here..by those that deem to sit in judgement and question my willingness to stay true to rules by which i set my soul.it dont matter. back to tony.."if i can wait!" and wait i shall..hell..not like i have much choice, hunh? lol. on a better note..FINALLY got the kids groomed..way overdue, and am grateful the groomer is back to health.they look cute..can see there beauty eyes again. back to the feeling..(confusing..jumping around like this, isnt it?) just thinking..maybe i know who the person is.i mean..i dont really know ..but..have thought the one.and talk with the one, also.do it only when no ones around..which is just about always..lol. and..their presence comes to me strongly in that time after my head hits the pillow..i talk with the folks..and with God..and the time sleep over takes me.sometimes i even get the smell of just washed hair as i almost feel it brush me. ok..so now youre thinking" he's lost it..this guy is really nuts".well..dont feel like the Lone Ranger..just get in the line that says.PEOPLE THAT THINK HE'S CRAZY..long line hunh?hehe. turn the page

ADVICE FROM A RETIRED HUSBAND
It is important for men to remember that, as women grow older, it becomes harder for them to maintain the same quality of housekeeping as when they were younger. When you notice this, try not to yell at them. Some are oversensitive, and there's nothing worse than an oversensitive woman.
My name is Ron. Let me relate how I handled the situation with my wife, Carol Anne. When I retired a few years ago, it became necessary for Carol Anne to get a full-time job, along with her part-time job, both for extra income and for the health benefits that we needed. Shortly after she started working, I noticed she was beginning to show her age. I usually get home from the golf club about the same time she gets home from work
Although she knows how hungry I am, she almost always says she has to rest for half an hour or so before she starts dinner. I don't yell at her. Instead, I tell her to take her time and just wake me when she gets dinner on the table. I generally have lunch in the Men's Grill at the club, so eating out is not reasonable. I'm ready for some home-cooked grub when I hit that door. She used to do the dishes as soon as we finished eating. But now it's not unusual for them to sit on the table for several hours after dinner.
I do what I can by diplomatically reminding her several times each evening that they won't clean themselves. I know she really appreciates this, as it does seem to motivate her to get them done before she goes to bed. Another symptom of aging is complaining, I think. For example, she will say that it is difficult for her to find time to pay the monthly bills during her lunch hour. But, Boys, we take 'em for better or worse, so I just smile and offer encouragement. I tell her to stretch it out over two, or even three days. That way, she won't have to rush so much. I also remind her that missing lunch completely now and then wouldn't hurt her any (if you know what I mean). I like to think tact is one of my strong points..
When doing simple jobs, she seems to think she needs more rest periods. She had to take a break when she was only half-finished mowing the yard. I try not to make a scene. I'm a fair man.. I tell her to fix herself a nice, big, cold glass of freshly squeezed lemonade and just sit for a while. And, as long as she is making one for herself, she may as well make one for me, too.
I know that I probably look like a saint in the way I support Carol Anne. I'm not saying that showing this much consideration is easy. Many men will find it difficult. Some will find it impossible! Nobody knows better than I do how frustrating women get as they get older. However, Guys, even if you just use a little more tact and less criticism of your aging wife because of this article, I will consider that writing it was well worthwhile. After all, we are put on this earth to help each other.
EDITOR'S NOTE: Ron died suddenly on January 31 of a perforated rectum. The police report says he was found with a Calloway extra-long 50-inch Big Bertha Driver II golf club jammed up his rear end, with barely 5 inches of grip showing, and a sledge hammer laying nearby. His wife Carol Anne was arrested and charged with murder. The all-woman jury took only 10 minutes to find her Not Guilty, accepting her defense that Ron, somehow without looking, accidentally sat down on his golf club. and NO..i am NOT married...AND...i dont play golf....anymore
