My Time Has Come

 Friday's fast approaching
Operation for me
Hopefully it will work
I'll have a brand new knee

So scared..'yes'..i am
But it must be done
Tomorrow i'll go
To stay with my mum

A day to relax
Forget all my fears
To have some fun
And wipe away my tears

Life's on the up
Things looking fine
Bruce well at the mo
I'm happy...don't need wine

Will be back soon
With news to tell
On my operation
And my life as well

Thankyou Mary..i just have a bad time with anaesthetics, hence my anticipation...my children are both abroad at the moment working, so i will be on my own, which will be fine, a friend is having bruce, so at least i won't have to walk him..i will post when up and about...bye for now...Rachel

 Rach: I enjoyed your poem and your way of making it part of a scary situation you are facing. My thoughts and prayers will be with you. I pray your surgery is successful and you have a speedy recovery.

Take care of yourself and don't do too much too soon. You be sure to rest and get back to us when you can.

I hope our surgery goes as planned and that you have a speedy recovery. you will most likely have to spend a lot of time with your leg elevated, but you could use a laptop to keep in touch when you are feeling better.

Positive energy and lots Big Hugs to you. Let us know when you need a chocolate fix. It makes healing less stressful

Hello SL....thanks for your thoughts and kindness...my mum doesn't like travelling and she lives 2 hours away...i am just getting ready to go there now, and my flat is tiny so no room...but would have been nice..but i'll be ok....til later...enjoy your sun...and peonies...Rachel

 Tomorrow at 7 am I have to give a speech in front of the owner of the company and his staff, not to mention the heads of many depts. The last thing that will pass through my thoughts before opening my mouth to speak will be the thought that you ar facing your dilemma with courage, so why am I so scared? I'll take a deep breath and just stand up and do it! If I don't pass out that is lol

Hi Bill...i am so glad glad you did well...it is hard to stand up and give a speech, i used to do podium presentations with my work to 20 couple plus, and was always so nervous at first, then loved it....i am in bed writing this resting after the op yesterday which the doctors think went well...i will post a blog on it maybe tomorrow when i am more compus mentus...thankyou for your very kind thoughts....Rachel...
